Design Work —
DRAWING DURING QUARANTINE
Following the spring 2020 semester I took to drawing. It became a ritual to sketch throughout the week. Drawing served as a discipline and form of stress relief. Those shared here are a mix of geometric designs, the human figure, and extemporaneous forms.
WORK FROM DESIGN STUDIO 3: ALLIED STUDIO (Lighting, Interiors, and Architecture).
In the midst of quarantine and virtual learning, we were encouraged to use ad-hoc materials and let our creative imaginations run free. We studied light, weaving, textiles, porosity, and shadow - to name a few. Included here are experimentations with these concepts.

THESIS: SPRING 2022
Animated and layered maps of Union Square (NYC).When all layers come together, the built environment becomes congested, complex, and difficult to decipher. Rather than simply plotting data, how we often utilize maps, the layers evoke feeling and imagination. I prioritized feeling and imagination because that is how, I believe, a body experiences and evaluates space. When all layers are active, the chaos gives way for a compelling and alluring representation.
