A few of my favorite things

I’m sharing with y’all my most tried and true products and services! I personally love when folks share lists like this, so I’m throwing mine into the mix. These are things I’ve used for a long time and feel the value of day-to-day.

Blundstone boots — My favorite and most-used shoe of all time! I got a pair shortly after moving to New York, as I needed an everyday shoe I could walk all day in. I ended up buying the heeled boots in black, as I really loved the silhouette of the boot and felt the heel was low enough to not really notice. Years later, they’re the best shoe investment I’ve made. They’re the ultimate trifecta in my opinion — stylish, comfortable, and durable !

SoFi — Joining SoFi has been an empowering game changer for me! This has become my primary savings account, as it has the highest APY rates I’ve been able to find. APY is the amount of money, or interest, you can earn on money in your bank account. I linked it with my employer so my deposits go directly here, of which has allowed my APY rate to increase pretty rapidly. When I joined last fall, I started out with a 2% APY and it’s already up to 3.75% (the national average is .30%, so this is drastically higher!).

While this was my primary incentive for joining, SoFi is just a great one-stop shop for all things financing. I’ve found the educational content to be really helpful especially, but the rewards and member benefits (you can meet with financial planners and career coaches for free!) are also pretty great.

Schoolhouse textured glass — My go-to cocktail glass! This certainly isn’t a “must-have,” but this is one of those things that brings a bit of delight each time I use it. I love the texture and color of this particular glass and just overall find it beautiful!

Rapid Immune Boost — My therapist recommended this to me, and my goodness, I swear it’s a miracle worker! From Herb Pharm, this formula is meant to be, as it’s called, a boost for your immune system when under stress. Anytime I’m not feeling great or I feel a cold coming on, I use this (about 2-3 times a day) and it really helps me feel better/keeps sickness at bay.

Curology — For much of my adult life, I’ve had consistent acne. I’ve tried manyyy products over the years and they’ll work for a time, but my skin will soon adjust to them and the products will no longer work. Enter Curology! I’ve been using this system for years now and my skin is glorious. I may have a bit of break out when I’m menstruating, but other than that, I rarely get acne at all anymore. When creating your customized formula (of which includes a cleanser, treatment cream, and moisturizer), you’re required to send in photos, share your acne history, and skin goals, which really sets Curology apart in my opinion. Your first trial is free as well! Their lip balm and acne spot patches are really great too!

Vanicream — Another skincare product I swear by is Vanicream, particularly their moisturizer cream. I began using it about five years ago when I started getting eczema on my face. I had really terrible flare ups and I had a lot of trouble treating it. This was recommended by my dermatologist and it’s incredibly helpful. It’s a no-frills, affordable, thick moisturizer and a little goes a long way. Using this consistently keeps any eczema flares at bay.

Uniqlo mini shoulder bag — I definitely hopped on this trend, but I searched for quite awhile for one that was inexpensive, the right size and material, and available in bright colors. I ended up buying this one from Uniqlo and I’ve loved it! I opted for the blue and love what it adds to an ensemble. The material is light and water repellent, and after using it for months now, it’s the perfect size!

Carol’s Daughter curl shaping cream gel — For my curly haired friends! I’ve been liking my natural waves as of late, and this is my favorite product I’ve found. Not only does it work super well (mine have never been so well-defined!), but it requires very little product and is priced affordably. After I’ve showered and towel-dried my hair, I apply this before diffusing. It helps hold the curls all day and gives the hair a soft texture. Helps maintain frizz too!
